About Me
Christina Taylor, LPC, PLLC
I received my Bachelors in Psychology from the University of Texas in Austin in 2008, then acquired my Masters in Counseling at St. Edward’s University in 2010. I have been a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Texas since 2012. Since then, I have over 10 years combined experience of working with children, adolescents, adults, and couples in a variety of settings.
While working at a local residential treatment center as an individual and family therapist, I had the opportunity to provide therapy services to adolescents with anger management issues, developmental delays, ADHD, mood disorders, and other emotional and behavioral issues.
In 2014, I began working with a non-profit foster care and adoption organization, providing individual and family therapy services to families and at risk youth. I also have several years of Applied Behavioral Analysis training and have experience providing 1:1 therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
Since expanding my career into the realm of private practice, I have especially enjoyed having the opportunity to provide therapeutic services to a wider array of clients, varying both in age and stage of life. In particular, I have found a passion in helping couples navigate through their journey toward a healthier, long-lasting relationship.
In addition to other trainings, I have accumulated over 50 combined hours in Gottman Method Couples Therapy training. In 2019, I completed the Gottman Method Level 1 workshop, and in 2020, I completed both the Level 2 training and the Level 3 Certification Practicum.
Feel free to take a look at the other pages on this site for more information on the services I offer. I look forward to hearing from you!
